We had a wonderful weekend in the wonderful creation of God that men like to call the Adirondack Park.
Starting with a 3.5-hour drive to Schenectady for dinner, we found our destination at Bolton Landing in a wonderful cottage on the lake by Friday night. Saturday found us reveling in blue kayaks, ducks, a boat ride, and lots more.
Among the memories:
~ finding a red-spotted salamander in the wild
~ hiking up part of a mountain and back down again with Caleb--acorn in hand the whole time
~ writing found on a newlyweds' car: 'Tonight's the night. So glad we w8ed!' (yes!)
~ saying on a t-shirt: 'If a man speaks in a forest when no woman is there to hear him ... is he still wrong?' (when I read it out loud to Kim, another customer-male-said, 'Yes!' LOL)
~ Caleb, did you have fun? "Yayyyyyyy!" and clapping from Caleb in response--how cute is
that?
~ TomTom and Vinyl Cafe' are great traveling companions
~ sighting: a man in camo carrying a rifle along the road in Keene Valley ... is any game in season right now?
pictures to come soon ... I promise!
